The level of dog fouling in
the village is not only unsightly but provides a threat to the health and well
being of all villagers particularly the old and the young. The Council would
like to remind parishioners that it is an offence for any person (including
children) in charge of a dog to fail to remove the dog’s faeces, immediately
after the dog fouls, from any area of the village within the 30.m.p.h speed
limit zone. Any persons committing this offence will be reported to City of York
Council with a view to prosecution or issued with a fixed penalty notice. City
of York Council regularly patrols the village with a view to identifying
offenders.
