Meeting of
Skelton Parish Council on Tuesday 14th October 2008 at Skelton
Village Hall at 7.00 p.m. Business Agenda.
1.
At this point any
member of the public may address the Council or ask a question of the Council on
any matter relevant to the business of the Council.
2.
Apologies for
absence.
3.
Declaration of
Interests. At this point Members are asked to declare any personal or
prejudicial interest they may have in the business on this agenda.
4.
To approve the minutes of
the meeting of the Council held on 9th September 2008.
5.
John Lacy from CYC
Licensing Team will report to the meeting regarding the proposal for a ward wide
Alcohol Exclusion Zone.
6.
To receive and decide
necessary action resulting the monthly report of the Clerk.
7.
To receive and decide
necessary action resulting from verbal reports from the Clerk or Councillors on
the follow matters arising from the previous meeting of the Council: -
a.
Village Condition. Damage to verges on Village Green.
b.
Up date on the equipped play area project.
c.
Ward Funded Projects for 2009/10 accepted and rejected by Ward Committee.
d.
To consider proactive measures to encourage responsible dog ownership in
the village.

To decide on Council’s representation at CYC’s budget seminar
on 12th November 1.30 p.m. (refreshments) -4.00 p.m.

Minor Matters delegated to the Clerk and items for the next agenda.
12.To
confirm the date of the next Meeting of the Parish Council as Tuesday 11th
November 2008 in the Village Hall at 7 p.m.

A vacancy has arisen on the Council, which the Council has
resolved to fill by means of co-option.
Any
eligible person* wishing to be considered for co-option to the Council should
write to the Clerk to the Council giving brief details of the positive
contributions they consider they could make to the work of the Council.
*To
be eligible interested persons must be 18
years of age or over, be a British subject, a citizen of the Irish Republic or a
citizen of a member state of the European Union and be (1) a local government
elector of the parish or (2) a person who (a) has, during the whole of the last
twelve months occupied land or other premises as owner or tenant in the parish,
or (b) has, during the same period, resided in the parish or within three miles
thereof, or(c) has, during the same period, had his principal or only place of
work in the area.
