Publication Scheme under the Freedom of Information Act 2000

The purpose of this publication scheme is to be a means by which the council can make a significant amount of information available routinely. The scheme will ensure that the council will publish more information proactively, and help it to develop a greater culture of openness and transparency. This authority's key responsibilities are to represent the electorate of its area, to take action within the legal framework and to provide a leadership focus for the community.

The Clerk shall set a charge for the inspection and provision of copies of any of the above records. The charge will reflect the cost of servicing the request for information including the time of the Clerk in making the records available for inspection.
IT IS PROPOSED THAT THE FOLLOWING OPTIONAL DOCUMENTS ARE NOT PART OF THE SKELTON PARISH COUNCIL PUBLICATION SCHEME.

The Parish Council will consider applications to inspect any Council records which are not included in part one of this scheme. Applications for inspection should be made to the Clerk to the Council in writing for consideration at the next scheduled Council Meeting.
