CEMETERY FEES          Effective from 1st January 2008.

The Person to be interred, or in respect of whom the right is granted, is to

 

       be or immediately before death have been, an inhabitant or parishioner of

 

      Skelton Parish. In the case of a still-born child, one or both parents are to

 

be, or at the time of the interment were, such inhabitants or parishioners.

 

This regulation may only be waived under special circumstances and at

 

      the sole discretion of the Parish Council. (In such event the fees, payments

 

      and sums quoted will be DOUBLED except those set out in parts 2 and 3

 

      will not be doubled where the exclusive right of burial in the grave in

 

      question, was acquired by reservation on payment of a single fee as set out

 

      in Part 1 at a time when he or she was a parishioner.

 

 

 

     PART 1 : - PURCHASE PRICE OF GRAVE SPACES

 

 

 

    For the exclusive right of a burial for a period of 50 years or continuation

 

    thereof, from the Deed of Grant in an earthen grave 2.4m x 1.2m.

 

    Grave spaces may be reserved at the same fee of

     Grave spaces in the Memorial Garden may be reserved for the fee of

    PART 2 : - INTERMENTS

 

 

 

   The figures quoted DO NOT include the digging of the grave.

 

    1.  For the interment in a purchased or reserved grave :-

 

      (i)    of the body of a still-born child, or a child whose age

 

           at the time of death did not exceed one month

      (ii)   of the body of a child whose age at the time of death

 

           exceeded one month but did not exceed 12 years

      (iii)  of the body of a person whose age at the time of death

 

           exceeded 12 years

      (iv)  for the interment of cremated remains in the Memorial

 

           Garden

      (v)   of the cremated remains in a grave other than set aside

    PART 3.  HEADSTONES AND INSCRIPTIONS

 

 

 

    For the right to erect or place on a grave in respect of which the exclusive

 

    right of burial has been granted :-

 

    i)    A Memorial plaque in the Memorial Garden which must

 

        be laid horizontally and not exceed 450mm x 450mm

    (ii)   Headstones not exceeding 1.00m in height
