Skelton Parish Council would like to thank all those parents and children who completed the recent playground survey questionnaire (keep them coming). There were many and varied suggestions on improving the play area and on providing new play equipment, some would be very expensive. "What's on in Skelton" Event Day : Saturday 22nd March Village Hall
Mandy's Community Cafe in conjunction with Skelton Parish Council are holding a 'What's on in Skelton' day on Saturday 22nd March from 10.30 to 2 pm in the Village Hall.

Skelton Parish Council : Grass Cutting 25/26 Season

Report speeding and Skelton Community Speed Watch Group
The Parish Council last year had a visit visit from the Traffic Management Officer of North Yorkshire Police in response to the Council expressing concerns with reported incidents of speeding traffic through the village and down the 30mph Moorlands Road suspected to be mainly through traffic from the A19 to Wigginton/Haxby avoiding the usual congested A1237 ring road.

Damage to Grass Verges : Residents are asked to help
Discussion took place at a recent Parish Council meeting over the reported damage to the grass verges along Church Lane and on other roads throughout the village.

Dog fouling, an health issue and an unpleasant sight the Village could do without.
Skelton Parish Council have been made aware of incidents of dog fouling throughout the village, pond path, playground, open spaces and even on private driveways. Not only is this an unpleasant sight it is also an health issue which blights the character of the village.
