Skelton Community Speed Watch Campaign

Calling Residents of Skelton, the Parish Council are looking to implement a

"Community Speed Watch" Campaign and we are looking for residents to become involved in the programme.
With the return to normality within Skelton and York 'post Covid' we are again seeing large volumes of traffic entering and using the village as a Rat-Run to avoid the traffic jams on the by-pass. Cars entering the village from Moorlands are traveling well over the prescribed 30mph limits & given the proximity to Skelton Village Hall and Skelton Primary and Nursery School, it's important that we keep the residents of the village safe.
Anyone wishing to contribute time and support to the initiative can contact the team on the following email address.
Full training will be provided and it's hoped to be able to establish a rota of residents to undertake speed monitoring within the village limits as regular intervals.
